Katie Falis LAT, ATC, graduated in 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL. Upon graduation, she moved to Sewanee, Tennessee, where she worked at Sewanee: The University of the South as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and worked with 24 different sports. Here, she was able to sharpen her skills in physical therapy, varying modalities, manual therapy techniques, post-operative treatment, and return-to-sport criteria. Throughout her career, Katie has worked very closely with professional athletes, division I athletes, division III athletes in addition to high school and middle school athletes. However, her passion revolves around serving athletes within the high school setting- she believes every high school athlete should have access to a full-time athletic trainer. Katie has been the full-time athletic trainer at Anclote High School since July 2017. Ms. Katie is also the recipient of the Athletic Trainers Association of Florida’s 2024 Secondary School Athletic Trainer of the Year award.
